Following are some new updates of BISP in December 2023

BISP released its first quarterly installment for 2023-24 on 20 December 2023.  A total of Rs 55 billion cash has been transferred to 77 lakh families in this installment.

BISP has launched an online portal to invite applications for its savings scheme.  This portal helps the beneficiary women to get a loan of Rs 10,000 with 0% interest rate.

BISP has launched a toll-free number to call for applications for its education scholarship scheme.  This toll free number helps children of beneficiary families to get scholarships for primary, secondary and higher secondary education.

 Other updates:

BISP has launched a new system to improve its payment process.  Under this new system, beneficiaries do not need to use banks or ATMs to transfer cash.  They can receive transfers directly into their bank accounts.

BISP has taken steps to strengthen its beneficiary identification and verification process.  Under the process, beneficiaries are now required to upload their documents and give a video interview.

BISP has formed partnerships to provide various services to its beneficiaries.  These services include health care, education and employment.

Apart from these updates, BISP also carried out the following activities in December 2023.

BISP organized a national conference to discuss the role of social security programs in poverty alleviation.

 BISP started a campaign to make people aware about BISP programmes.

 BISP released a report evaluating the impact of BISP programmes.

These activities of BISP aim to eradicate poverty and promote social justice in Pakistan.
